  1. Yes, “The Pic”, as we used to call it. Saw a lot of movies there, with a newsreel and a dozen cartoons tossed in for a quarter or fifty cents or whatever it was. Went to the “Harper” a lot too, and to the “Hyde Park” theater with it’s daring foreign films when we got into our teens.
    When I went to Kozminski, we went to the Frolic on 55th Street; a real hole in the wall compared to the elegance of “The Pic!”

  2. We lived on Hyde Park Blvd. in 1946/47. I remember going to the Picadilly with my Mother to see Disney’s The Song Of The South and The Bells Of St. Mary’s with Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman.
